Pineapple Express

I really want to hate Judd Apatow. I really do. I really want to describe him as a self-congratulatory, overrated hack who made one good film and then duped audiences into buying tickets on his name alone. I really want to be furious that he's producing the long-awaited third Ghostbusters movie. And I really want to hate 'Pineapple Express'. But I don't, because he's amazing, the cast are amazing and 'Pineapple Express' is amazing.

Seriously.

Extras: Not as many extras as you usually get with an Apatow film, but just enough to justify a two-disc release. The commentary's probably quite funny too, but I didn't get round to listening to it. And don't worry, that 'Digital Copy' you cherish so highly is, as ever, included.

4 annoying people shouting 'Ooh look, wasn't he in Knocked Up as well?' out of 5

'INTERESTING' FACT: The film was cut by a couple of minutes to get a 15 rating in the UK. The banned scene, which features 'romanticised and uncritical portrayal of drug abuse by teenagers' is reinstated on the 18-rated DVD. Huzzah!
