In thirty years time Q Magazine will not be writing a retrospective on the importance of of her last effort 'B Day' (why didn't someone tell her about that name?) and nor will the greatest writers of the next generation be mulling over the nuances of 'I Am Sasha Fierce.' Well perhaps psychiatrists will as Beyonce isn't just saying Sasha is a character she's playing, Beyonce actually believes her to be a real person who is releasing statements on 'her' album;

 

"Sasha Fierce is the fun, more sensual, more aggressive, more outspoken side and more glamorous side that comes out when I'm working and when I'm on the stage," explained Fierce in a statement.

The only way Beyonce could get away with such a ridiculous name would be to take a whole new direction of great music, have a bit of a laugh with her image, or jump the Grand Canyon in a white jumpsuit.

 

Sadly none of these things happens, the album is a plodding series of ballads created by the same person who writes James Blunt's songs and half arsed electronica; the entire sum of which means we wish Sasha Fierce would sod off and let Destiny's Child get back together.
