Catastrophe - Mondays, 9pm, Channel 4

So: it's a Monday night, you've just finished slaving your way through the first day of a working week, and you want nothing more than to relax in front of the television. What better programme to tune into, then, than a CGI-laden reminder of how your entire existence is nothing more than the meaningless aftermath of a giant cosmic accident?
Needless to say, Catastrophe is a lot of fun. While a good deal of the CGI planet-collisions start to grate, and can often feel like outtakes from 'Deep Impact' (without the added bonus of watching Tea Leoni get swept away by a giant tidal wave), it feels like the kind of thing you'd wish your science teacher had shown you. Instead of that 'special' Bunsen burner he insisted on displaying to the kids. Remember? The one he kept down his pants?
Hang on a second...
