If you've heard of Kristina and Karissa Shannon, you're either a fan of Playboy, in which case you'ill recognise them as Miss July and Miss August 2009, or E! reality TV shows, in which you'll remember them from Season 6 of The Girls of The Playboy mansion.

Kristina and Karissa were Hugh Hefner's girlfriends for two years, although they stressed that they weren't romantically involved with the leather-looking porn baron, rather they were using him for fun and the opportunity to be on the TV show, although by 'fun', they probably means a twos-up with the randy old goat.

For fans of crime capers, The Shannons were arrested and charged in 2007 with aggravated assault after fighting at a house party. Karissa then went and found herself with a misdemeanour battery charge in the same year. Fiesty.

You may have also seen them before in Sofia Coppola's Somewhere, where they were tennis-attired pole dancers, which must have been a stretch for them. If you haven't seen it, or have blocked the scene from your memory, here's a really bad quality version, but you get the idea.
