No Vibe

Because 'nu' now generally means 'shit' (see nu metal, nu rave, paolo nutini), Nu Vibe had to leave last night's X Factor whilst Frankie Cocozza was saved. Oh deary dear.

The band, made up of Jordan Higo, Stefan Romer, Bradley Johnson, Richard Milford and Ashford Campbell ended up in the bottom two with Frankie on Saturday night, with Tulisa then sealing their fate by getting them to cover Cheryl Cole's The Promise (?!) and then crying through out the entire performance.

After Gary, Kelly and Louis all voted to save Frankie, Tulisa bravely dried her eyes, she said:

"Do you know what? I got too emotionally attached but you know what? I'm not regretting that because I met five lovely boys.

"And I still think they've got talent."

Louis added:

"Give it another year and they could be a great band, they shouldn't break up. They need to rehearse."

Meanwhile, Matt Cardle, who also gave it a year, went straight into number six in the pop charts last night.

Chin up, Nu Vibe, you're not the only act to have performed completely out of tune on X Factor - we're surprised that last night's guest, Katy Perry (dressed as Amelia Lily), was invited back after the bottom clip...
